8th Pay Commission: Big Salary Hike For Employees, Pensioners To Get Major Benefits!

8th Pay Commission: Employees and pensioners are going to enjoy the 8th Pay Commission. If the salary of an employee exceeds one-and-a-half lakh rupees, then a jackpot of sorts is there for pensioners. Many changes can be expected in the new pay commission for employees. So, employees also foresee that it may be in the new pay commission (8th Pay Commission) that the government may provide for five promotions in an employee’s entire service career.

It was decided in June 2023 by the government that employees will be covered under the new pay commission. Just after the approval of the 8th Pay Commission, the pervading thought among the employees is: “How much increase in salaries”. Here comes a major update on it, in the 8th Pay Commission: Employees and pensioners will both have fun.

Class A Employees Too Get A Lottery

With approval from the Cabinet of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, salary hike may reach realization, with 8th Central Pay Commission approval. With the actual implementation of the 8th Pay Commission, it is going to be an extravagant hike in the salaries of central employees and benefits for the pensioners. There would be a huge salary hike for employees from level 1 to 10. In that regard, Group A employees actually have a huge lottery.

Employees’ Salary Will Increase In Lakhs

Within Group A, IAS, IPS, and other officers are to receive a considerable increment in their basic salary. It is expected that the new pay commission would have a fitment factor in the range of 2.86. In which case, an increase in the basic pay of Group A employees may go as high as between Rs. 53,100 to Rs. 1,60,446. In the same manner, there will be an increase in the minimum basic pay, from Rs. 18000 to Rs. 51000.

Three Lakhs Mark By Salaries Along With Allowance

So far as allowances are given to a Group A employee along with the basic salary, it is as good as, the salary bill for a Group A employee will cross three lakh rupees. The salary of Group-A officers can be around 3 lakh. However, the government has so far not announced anything on this, but employees are hopeful that they would get such a fitment factor in their salary.

Pensioners Will Also Get A Big Benefit

Pensioners will benefit greatly in the upcoming 8th Pay Commission. With a fitment factor of 2.86, there will be an increase in the minimum pension from Rs 9000 to Rs 25,740 per month, while the maximum pension may be Rs 3,57,500 per month. This will be a fantastic boon for the retired employees.

What Is The Implementation Date Of The New Pay Commission?

The 7th Pay Commission is going to end in December this year. After that, the government may introduce the 8th Pay Commission (8th CPC) from January 1, 2026. Some experts suggest that it would not be possible to implement the 8th Pay Commission (8th CPC Salary) from January 1, 2026, with a likelihood that the government would implement it from April 1, 2026, while making it effective from January 1, 2026. Implementation of the 8th Pay Commission really looks difficult.
